Benefit Eligibility Analyst

San Antonio, TX

Position Summary:

In this role, our Benefit Eligibility Analysts oversee and lead the workflow in the Benefit Eligibility Department while ensuring regulatory compliance. A Benefit Eligibility Analyst will process contribution reports received from client companies, enter new or revised enrollments and maintain strong relationships and communication with our clients. Our Analysts will require strong abilities within Excel®, benefit administration, as well as excellent customer service skills.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Processes contribution reports received from client companies.
  • Bank and client contribution reconciliations.
  • Contacts client companies regarding discrepancies.
  • Enters new and revised enrollments and requests
  • Attaches coverage information for medical, dental, vision, life, employee assistance programs, DUB and disability plans to the employee/dependent records as required.
  • Communicates extensively by phone, email and letter with client companies and covered members.
  • Time/Function Allocation

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business discipline is preferred
  • A minimum of three-years experience in accounting.
  • Contacts client companies regarding discrepancies.
  • Experience with billing & A/R, G/L, accounts reconciliations, cash management and month-end closing
  • Ability to work on multiple entities
  • Proficiency in Excel®
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with Sage MAS 500 (required)
