National Provider Identifier (NPI)

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) has mandated the adoption of a standard unique identifier for health care providers.  FCE is prepared to accept and maintain NPI numbers for individual providers, provider groups, ancillary providers and facilities.  Provider Tax Identification Numbers will continue to be required by FCE for claims processing and reimbursement.
